Homer Bridge to remain closed until March 15

The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation says that as part of it’s $32 million investment in the Welland Canal for 2022-23, work is being done to  install a new deck on the Homer Bridge linking St. Catharines and Niagara-on-the-Lake. The Seaway has announced that a two week extension of the temporary closure is required to complete the deck installation. The Homer Bridge is now expected to open by March 15, and will remain closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic until then.
