Cheryl Keddy-Scott is the Creator and Director of Village of Hope Niagara. They have been assisting those in need through their food bank, thrift store, and community garden, since 2008.
Cheryl has worked in social services for over 35 years and wanted to make a difference and provide change to take things further and help make an impact in the community.
Village of Hope is a volunteer driven organization and has 82 volunteers working during the week. They encourage students to come and volunteer for community hours, and even if people want to come for one or two hours a week to help in the food bank it is encouraged.
Village of Hope is located at 2540 South Service Road, Jordan Station.
Their Thrift Store hours are Monday to Saturday 10AM to 4PM and Thursday 10AM to 7PM. The Food Bank hours are Monday to Thursday from 10AM to 4PM and Friday form 12PM to 4PM.
