Niagara Regional Police say a man is wanted for multiple charges after an incident over the weekend in Niagara Falls.
Just before midnight on Sunday, police were called about an abduction and theft of a car at the Embassy Suites.
Investigation found that after a man had exited a grey Dodge Durango to check into the hotel, an unknown man jumped into the driver’s seat and drove away with a woman and a child in the car. He stopped in the parking lot and forced them out of the car, before fleeing again.
About an hour later, the SUV was found in Burlington with damage. Police say the man stole another vehicle and took off.
The suspect has been identified as 38-year-old Jason White, and he’s described as an indigenous man with a medium build, dark hair and wearing a black coat, black sweater and jeans. White has ties to the Ohsweken area, and it wanted on counts of robbery, kidnapping, assault, uttering threats, dangerous driving and driving while disqualified.
Anyone with information is asked to contact NRPS or Crime Stoppers.
