Niagara Regional Police are investigating a fatal collision in Pelham.
Police say yesterday around 5:00pm, officers responded to the area of Merrittville Highway and Regional Road 20 for a serious motor vehicle collision.
It was determined that a Chevrolet Impala lost control and veered into oncoming traffic, hitting a black SUV. The driver of the Impala, a 71-year-old man, was brought to hospital but succumbed to his injuries. His passenger, a 67-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The 21-year-old driver of the SUV and a minor female passenger both sustain minor injuries.
The investigation is now being handled by the NRPS’s Collision Reconstruction Unit.
