Doug French, the father of Kristen French, has passed away.
A post on the Darte Funeral Home website says Doug passed away on Sunday, and leaves behind his wife Donna and five children.
Kristen died in April 1992, after being abducted by Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo at the age of 15. In 2014, the Child Advocacy Centre Niagara was renamed the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre Niagara to pay tribute to her.
A visitation is planned for Thursday at George Darte Funeral Home on Carlton Street from 2:30pm-4:30pm, 6:00pm-8:00pm and on Friday from 12:00pm-1:00pm. There is a funeral is planned for Friday at St. Alfred’s Church at 2:00pm.
The family says donations can be made to the Kristen French Child Advocacy Centre Niagara to pay respects to Doug.
