Ed Chadwick, the last Maple Leaf goaltender to play every game in an entire season, has died at the age of 90. The Maple Leafs announced his passing on social media on Tuesday. Chadwick, a Fergus, Ontario native, is most famous for playing in 140 consecutive regular season games for the Leafs, starting in all 70 games in each of the 1956-57 and 1957-58 seasons.
Chadwick earned five Stanley Cup rings, all as a scout with the Edmonton Oilers. Following his hockey career, Chadwick lived in Fort Erie, and became a pillar of the community, contributing his time and considerable talents to a large number of worthwhile causes.
