
The Ontario government is celebrating a $200 million investment by JBL citric acid to expand its Port Colborne facility, creating 50 new jobs and boosting supply chains.
This expansion will increase production of xanthan gum, a versatile thickener used in food, health care, and other industries, while driving demand for Ontario-grown corn.
Mayor Bill Steele spoke of the investment.
