Niagara Regional Police is giving a heads up to residents in Niagara Falls ahead of some training exercises this week.
Tomorrow between 9:00am and 3:00pm, police will be training in the area of Portage Road and Upper Rapid Road. During this time, police say you may hear the sound of simulated gun fire, the smell of smoke, controlled explosions and an increased police presence.
Niagara Parks Police will be assisting with road access and closures. There will also be signage in the area regarding the training, and the public is asked to stay away from the training site.
