The City of Welland is seeking community input on potential changes to the size of City Council.
A report presented in September proposed reducing the number of councillors to lower costs. Welland is currently represented by 12 councillors and one mayor, with two councillors representing each of the city’s six wards.
Before making a decision, Council is prioritizing resident feedback. Any changes would take effect in the 2026 election.
Residents can share their thoughts through a survey on Engage Welland.
