A hockey program in Fort Erie has a bit of extra help thanks to RONA.
The Fort Erie International Academy is one of 85 local hockey teams across Canada that are benefitting from over 400 RONA stores taking part in its sponsorship program for teams that their employees children play for.
Selected teams will receive a sum to help them purchase equipment, reduce registration fees and take part in tournaments. RONA will also help provide players and their families with clothing that’s exclusive to their team with their logo.
President and CEO JP Towner says it’s important to help give back to a sport that brings people together.
