Niagara Regional Police conducted R.I.D.E. spot checks earlier this week in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, stopping approximately 500 vehicles to check for alcohol or drug consumption.
Fifteen drivers were asked to provide breath samples, with two receiving a 3-day license suspension after their results triggered an “Alert.”
A 75-year-old Niagara Falls driver was also charged with Operation While Prohibited for driving under a suspended license related to a prior impaired conviction.
