If there’s one thing that’s clear ahead of tomorrow’s provincial election, it’s that Niagara is a priority.
Both Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford and Ontario NDP Leader Marit Stiles are making appearances in the region today, with voters headed to the polls tomorrow.
Stiles says having strong candidates in this area is important.
Audio PlayerStiles stressed the importance of healthcare while in the falls, speaking to the current plan to shut down urgent care centres in Fort Erie and Port Colborne once the new South Niagara Hospital has been built – something that’s a hot button topic as of late.
Ford is expected to speak to supporters in St. Catharines today as well, while Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie spoke up the QEW in Hamilton.
As it sits pre-election, the Ontario NDP hold seats in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Niagara Centre, while the Progressive Conservatives hold the Niagara West riding.
