Jeff Burch narrowly re-elected as MPP for Niagara Centre

Jeff Burch will remain MPP for Niagara Centre.

In the closest race of Niagara’s four ridings, the NDP candidate narrowly defeated PC candidate and Port Colborne Mayor Bill Steele by just over 2000 votes.

Burch emphasized that his campaign remained focused on addressing key local concerns.

When reflecting on the campaign trail, which was shorter than usual, Burch says he wasn’t happy with how it was handled by the Progressive Conservative government and their candidates.

The Niagara Centre riding has been a stronghold for the NDP since 1975, while Burch has held the seat since 2018.
