
The City of Niagara Falls has earned a perfect 100% score in its 2024 Drinking Water Distribution Inspection from the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks.
The report confirms full compliance with all regulations, highlighting the City’s commitment to providing safe, high-quality drinking water.
Meanwhile, Niagara-on-the-Lake also received perfect scores for its drinking water systems, reinforcing its dedication to water safety. The Town maintains about 200 kilometres of water pipes, 1,410 fire hydrants, and 1,402 valves. In 2024, 542 water samples were tested for bacteria, and all were clear of E. coli.
One sample had low levels of other bacteria, but follow-up tests confirmed the water was safe. 1380 tests checked chlorine levels, all within the safe range.
