Port Colborne is hosting its rescheduled Top Hat Ceremony this morning.
The ceremony, which was originally planned for Saturday, was rescheduled due to adverse weather conditions during the morning.
Mayor Bill Steele will adorn the hat, and welcome the first downbound vessel through Lock 8 of the Welland Canal, marking the opening of the 2025 shipping season.
A breakfast is being hosted by the Port Colborne Fair Trade Committee and will include pancakes, hot chocolate, tea and coffee.
