
Residents in the Niagara Peninsula, southeastern Hamilton, and eastern Haldimand County are advised of potential flooding due to heavy rainfall.
A rainfall warning has been issued, with 30-50 mm of rain expected today into Thursday, and another 30-50 mm over the weekend.
While water levels are currently near seasonal averages, additional rainfall could lead to flooding in low-lying areas. Residents are urged to stay away from rivers and creeks and ensure drainage systems remain clear.
Meantime, with heavy rain continuing in Niagara this morning, police want you to be as safe as possible while driving. .
Sgt. Ed Sanchuk with the OPP is asking people to keep the rainy conditions in mind when they get behind the wheel.
