Marty Mako has been elected the newest St. Catharines City Councillor.
Mako won the Ward 6 Port Dalhousie by-election yesterday, as seven candidates were vying for the seat left vacant after the passing of Councillor Carlos Garcia late last year.
Mako won with nearly 1900 votes, followed by Zach Dykstra with 970.
In a social media post, he thanked all of the volunteers that helped make his campaign successful.
