Christine Clark-Lafleur is the Executive Director of Port Cares in Port Colborne.
In the role she has held for nine years, she works shoulder to shoulder with a great team of people who provide comprehensive, wrap-around social services to individuals and families in need, serving Niagara and its southern tier.
Programs and services include infant and child development, youth justice, homelessness prevention, crisis responses services, employment services, youth employment, literacy and educational upgrading and food support through meal program and food bank. As an Employment Ontario provider, Port Cares provides employment services, literacy and basic skills as well as youth employment services .
Driven by mission, guided by values, committed to community service, Christine is a trusted and skilled executive leader with 30+ years in the public and not-for- profit sector. Her experience includes not-for-profit leadership, strategic communications and stakeholder engagement, governance, public affairs, government relations, community relations, and new media.
She has won various awards from the Health Care Public Relations Association and was honoured as a Woman of Distinction by the YWCA for excellence and leadership in the field of communications and public affairs. She was appointed by the Province of Ontario as a Director for the Trillium Gift of Life Network, the organ donation and transplant coordination agency for Ontario.
