In St. Catharines, an NRP investigation resulted in the retrieval of drugs and a handgun.
On Wednesday at noon, Niagara officers confronted two men believed to be selling illegal drugs near Geneva and Queenston streets.
The suspects fled in different directions, leading to a foot chase. Both were captured with pills, suspected cocaine, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
While evading arrest, one suspect discarded a loaded 9mm handgun, later recovered by the officers.
The 22-year-old from Brampton and the 25-year-old from Mississauga have been arrested, facing multiple charges.
