A strike could be on the horizon for LCBO workers.
Employees at Ontario’s main liquor retailer reportedly voted 97% in favour of a strike over the weekend, according to the Ontario Public Service Employees Union. The union represents more than 8000 workers.
The union’s bargaining team is scheduled to return to negotiations this week, with members expected to receive further details today regarding the potential timeline for a strike. In a statement released yesterday, LCBO said it does not want a strike – adding that it will continue negotiations to reach an agreement with the union.
