Over 7000 concert-goers at the Meridian Centre enjoyed the sounds of Jelly Roll last night, and all for a good cause.
The breakout artist played his first ever Canadian show in St. Catharines, with 100% of the proceeds supporting the Heather Winterstein Foundation, an organization that supports Indigenous youth.
During his set, Jelly changed his set-list to include songs about overcoming addiction – while fans in attendance were holding signs with names of people they’ve lost to addiction. He also took a few moments to share a message of hope for anyone who may be going through any personal issues themselves.
The messages of hope didn’t go unnoticed by attendees either. Shawn from Welland brought his 14-year-old son, who was going to his first ever concert. He says it was the perfect experience.
Additionally, Jelly Roll also performed a never-before-heard song from his upcoming album.
