As part of festivities at the annual Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival this past weekend, it was announced the conservation area is now a designated heritage site.
Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority CAO Leilani Lee-Yates says this will help preserve the history of the grounds.
Lee-Yates adds that this will help them when it comes to keeping everything in tip-top condition.
The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority manages 41 conservation areas across the region, including Ball’s Falls.
