Niagara Region has unveiled its 2024-2029 Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, focusing on making facilities, services, and operations more accessible.
Building on past successes like improved parking, accessibility training, and audible/visual fire alarms, the plan outlines 31 actions across six areas, including transportation, customer service, and public space design.
Developed with community input, the plan meets Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act requirements and will be updated regularly to ensure continued progress. The plan can be viewed at the Region’s website.
