Ontario Premier Doug Ford made a stop in St. Catharines on Wednesday, meeting with workers at Decora Powder Coatings Ltd.
Ford reaffirmed his commitment to Ontario, vowing to protect jobs and stand up for the province against potential U.S. tariffs.
He also pushed back on the idea of Canada ever becoming the 51st state, a notion floated by the Trump administration.
Ford’s visit focused on key provincial issues, from job creation and infrastructure to eliminating tolls on Highway 407.
