Tis the Season for Connecting People And Communities To Enhance Niagara Life!

During the month of December our street team had been out and about the Niagara region, raising donations for families in need for the holidays. We call it the “Haulin’ For Hunger Campaign”. Donations were raised across nine different grocery stores going to five local charities. All food donations stayed within their respective communities; we got a donation in Port Colborne? It went right to Port Cares. We got a donation in Thorold? Yup, straight to Community Care!

Through 9 grocery stores, 5 charities, 3 weeks, and a partridge in a pear tree; we were able to haul 7,089 pounds of food and $8,470.00 to families in need this year! Making a combined value of $26,609.00!

We couldn’t have done it without our community getting together to help those less fortunate. And of course, thank you to our sponsors for helping us make the campaign possible this year. Welland Chevrolet was our title sponsor, who provided us with our haulin’ truck, to get all our donations where they needed to be!

It’s been another successful year for Haulin’ For Hunger, to say the least! We’re so fortunate to reside in a community such as ours. Again, we thank the people of Niagara for coming together to support those in need.

The GIANT FM “Haulin for Hunger Giveaway” is a contest starting Friday November 26th 2021 and running until Sunday December 19th 2021. Contestants have a chance to win a Deluxe Marshall Mini Fridge. Contestants can enter by scanning the QR code, which will take you to the Go Fund Me Page. You could also find the GoFundme Page on the Giant FM website. The contestant must Donate over $5.00 or more to be entered. They can choose to donate through our webpage or they may also Donate monetarily. If they choose to Donate cash on location, they will be presented with a QR code with an online ballot, where they can fill out the information to be entered. The grand prize is valued at $400 and must be accepted as awarded, no exchanges, substitutions and has no cash value.
